IranPressNews (Persian) - Ahmadinejad returned to Iran in a hurry on Tuesday night following the extensive protests about his presence in Rome by the media, and people.
His name was excluded from the dinner that was held by the Government of Italy. Antonio Polito the founder of Il Riformista (photo left) had called upon all politicians to refuse to meet with Ahmadinejad.
Antonio Polito said the City of Rome must make its protest heard by Ahmadinejad. People of Rome must unite with the Iranian people and Iranian women, who are under pressure, oppressed and do not have any rights.
He added, Italy must make Ahmadinejad understand that we stand by the Iranian people because we defend freedom. Our aim is to support Iranian people to achieve Freedom.
This may be seen as a small step, but I think it is a positive move, Great job! I just hope Italy doesn’t have any lucrative business deals with IRI or if it does, they are stopped.
